Job Title: Sales Engineer. Full time position (no consultants)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area is preferred but not a must

Our VP Sales is seeking a talented and experienced sales engineer to help us with company pipeline cultivation.

Description:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company's product, Force.com platform technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure energyOrbit and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales team in the beginning of and the cultivation of sales cycles
  • Understand the customer need and establish company's product as the best solution that addresses that need
  • Build and present customized energyOrbit demos
  • Have DEEP knowledge of the energyOrbit product
  • Attain expert understanding of principles of DSM/EE operations requirements
  • Present Force.com technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with Force.com hardware, software, networking and security stack
  • Participate in company responses to RFPs
  • Ability to travel domestically for sales and/or marketing trips

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years' experience as a Sales Engineer
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience as a sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology. If you come with SFDC experience, you have a clear advantage
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
  • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments

Desired Skills:

  • Relevant experience in the energy DSM / EE sectors
  • Good understanding of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and concepts
  • Ability to take ownership of project features and multi-task in a fast pace environment
